Easter has arrived, and Jesus is alive!
How encouraging that Resurrection is a reality for all of His followers. During Lent, I was made aware of certain things in me that had to die on the Cross. I also experienced renewal in a personal relationship. Jesus makes all things new!
In the church calendar, we have entered into 7 weeks of Easter that lead up to Pentecost. As a Christian who believes in the power of the Spirit, I am looking forward to living into the reality of Jesus sending God's spirit, as described in John 17.
The next 2 months or so will conclude my first academic year at my job. This next period of time will be one of discernment for me. I will stay for one more year, but other things stir my heart that I would like to pursue.
Pentecost comes right after graduation, and then there is the summer--more relaxed schedules and more administrative work than interacting with students and student issues. I'm just as expectant about Pentecost as I was for Easter.
Come, Holy Spirit!
